McIntosh MC275 Power Amplifier # EARLY 12AZ7 VERSION - Updated tube and Picture-SOLD!

First introduced in 1961, the McIntosh MC275 is one of the most beloved and well-known tube amps ever produced. Its name comes from the fact that it uses two 75-watt amplifiers, which gives it some of the highest power available from any tube amplifier. The MC275 is also built with four KT88 output tubes that allow the amp to perform well with a range of musical styles.

Specifications:

- Two-channel, tubed stereo (switchable to parallel mono operation) power amplifier.

- Tube complement: four KT88, three 12AX7A, four 12AT7.

- Inputs: 1 pair single-ended (RCA), 1 pair balanced (XLR).

- Loudspeaker outputs: 5-way binding posts for 4, 8, and 16 ohms.

- Preamp output: 1 pair single-ended (RCA). Inputs: 1 pair balanced (XLR), 1 pair single-ended (RCA).

The amplifier was sent to Mcintosh certified Enginner for checking on 10/04/1976 .

47 laboratory Shigaraki 4715 DAC (220-240V) - SOLD!

The Shigaraki Model 4715 DAC consists of two nearly identical cubes -- one the processor and the other the power supply. Both are encased in their namesake and both are very small. The DAC's Shigaraki cases give both pieces dark, earthy, and notably non-electronic aura. They look like stones. In fact, 47 Laboratory claims that the non-conductive character of the ceramic contributes to the units’ sound.
The Shigaraki DAC uses Crystal TDA 15431 DAC chips and a Crystal CS8414 input receiver. It accepts input frequencies of 32kHz, 44.1kHz, and 48kHz, selected automatically by the unit. It has one S/PDIF digital input and one pair of RCA outputs. An umbilical fixed to the processor cube plugs into the power cube. This cord is about a foot long, allowing for some separation between the two pieces. A removable IEC power cord plugs into the power cube. Both cubes are small -- about 3" wide and 3" high. The processor cube is a little over 3" long, while the power supply is about 5 1/2" long, thus making it more of a brick than a strict cube.

NBS Audio Cables was founded on the simple philosophy that cables should deliver the full resolution of a system.

Noise, in a cable, can and will affect the audio frequency range and interfere with an audio signal. The most common noise, Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), affects a cable directly in the audio range. RFI presents itself as hiss, commercial radio broadcasts, intercom broadcasts, or any other radio signal broadcast in the audible range.

Another source of noise is Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). Whenever electricity, i.e., an audio signal, passes through a wire, it produces inductance that creates an electromagnetic field. Because EMI manifests itself at a high frequency, it is commonly believed not to interfere with the audible range of frequencies. However, all frequencies demonstrate harmonic structures. Even if the cause of EMI is outside the audible range, the upper and lower harmonics of a given frequency often present themselves within the audible range. At the very least, EMI causes degradation of audio frequencies.
